Grandpa just can't hear on the phone at the facility where he is right now, so I told him I would send him letters. Here is today's letter (9-14-11)
First Day of School
Hi Dad,
Just thought I’d pass along pictures of your cute great-grandchildren on their first day of school. I’ll send pictures of the cute babies another time J
Maddie started SECOND GRADE last week. Can you believe it?? It was raining on the first day of school, so she is ready for anything!
Even harder to believe is that Daniel and Ryan are now in kindergarten! They go to school for half a day. Emily now has a couple of hours all to herself. The first day she celebrated by getting a manicure and pedicure. That’s my girl!! J
They all met lots of friends at the swimming pool during the summertime, so going to school was a piece of cake. They already knew half the class!
Spencer is now a first grader, and is gone all day. He’s not crazy about that, but is getting used to it. He likes his teacher very much, AND he lost his first tooth the day before school started, so he really felt like a grown up boy on the first day of school.
Emma hasn’t started preschool yet; I think she starts on the 26th, so I’ll send a picture then.
Here is big boy Harrison on his first day of preschool. So cute!
And last, but not least, here is the college freshman and her roommate on their first day of BYU!!!!
